An incredible opportunity has arisen for a talented Pastry Sous Chef to join the team at one of London’s most iconic and renowned restaurants. Known for its world-class standards and innovative cuisine, this is a rare chance to work in a kitchen that sets the benchmark for excellence.
About the Role:
As Pastry Sous Chef, you will take the lead on the pastry section, delivering elegant, high-end desserts that reflect the restaurant’s reputation. While your primary focus will be pastry, you’ll also contribute to a small amount of savoury cooking as part of the wider kitchen operation.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage the pastry section, from mise en place to final plating
– Create refined, creative desserts aligned with the restaurant’s culinary vision
– Assist with savoury preparation as required
– Uphold exceptional hygiene and food safety standards
– Support the Head Chef and mentor junior staff
– Help maintain the consistency, pace, and precision expected at this level
Requirements:
– Proven experience in a pastry chef or sous chef position in a high-end or Michelin-level environment
– Excellent pastry skills and a strong grasp of modern techniques
– Ability to adapt and support other kitchen sections when needed
– High level of professionalism, organisation, and calm under pressure
– Passion for creativity, precision, and delivering the best every day
